Quite a tough day today, I appear to have stopped making progress on the bench so I need to change some things up here I think. I’m going to try and decide what to do here in the next few weeks.

The 14th rep stapled me to the bench, i had absolutely no strength left to even lift my arms with the bar as Jamie pulled it off me.
I need to find a way to break out of this plateau, I’m hoping the high rep to failure sets will help with it. I might do them every week or two for a while.
Decided that I haven’t done deadlifts in a long time so today was going to be a big dead day. Started off with 70kg and worked up quickly to a new pr of 215kg. I attempted 225kg which is my goal, I was very close to locking it out but just couldn’t get er up all the way. After I noticed that I had torn a couple of nice patches of skin off my hands, looks like I won’t be doing deads again for a while. I’ll have to tape my hand up tomorrow for bench day too.
I bandaged up and moved onto some good mornings working up to a double of 295lbs, tried the third but missed it. Followed that with some weighted incline bench ab curls with a 5 second pause holding my body above the bench. These are super hard but they seem to really hit my abs from top to bottom.
Last up I did some Hise shrugs because I wasn’t about to try and grip a bar to do standard shrugs. First time doing these and I worked up to 255lbs for 10 which was still a little light but definately felt it.

Got some videos today of the 215kg and 225kg deadlifts, those should be up later along with a picture of the aftermath on my hand.
After eating a couple granola bars and few cookies and drinking a can of coke I had much more energy for todays workout. Definately had a better workout than yesterday.

Overall I think it was a good workout, my chest and triceps should be extremely sore tomorrow.
It was a tough workout, I think I need to start eating something mid afternoon to try and make sure I have some energy for the gym. Today was horrible, I was dead after speed squats and then I was literally laying on the ground during SLDLs. After two sets of GM’s I couldn’t handle anymore, my back was hurting and I felt like I was going to puke. I finished the day with three or four sets of ab pulldowns, I really don’t remember how many sets I did.
